FAQs
Do you do one-on-one coaching?
Yes, I do. But I prefer the word “mentor” to describe the work I do with individual clients.
I am currently not taking new long-term (six months or more) clients, however, I am open to considering exceptions to that as of July 1, 2024, depending on my schedule.
If you’re interested in having a conversation about the possibilities, please complete the Book Mentoring Inquiry Questionnaire on the Contact page, and we’ll be in touch to set up a complimentary 30-minute Discovery Call.
Please also visit the Are We Right For Each Other? page.
Do you do group coaching?
I have created a group program called Written in the Stars to serve as a way for me to guide more people through the process of starting and writing a novel. The launch date is forthcoming.
When it launches, the program will follow a model of 2-3 months on and 2-3 months off.
My intention in using this model is to provide clients more freedom and flexibility with their money and time investments, allowing for more affordable options and the natural ebb and flow of the writing process. The timing of the on/off months will correspond with Mercury Retrogrades, the astrological phenomenon when Mercury, the planet of communication, appears to go backward and creates the perfect environment for revisiting, reconsidering, and revising.
Do you accept proposals for special-case projects that fall outside the realm of the services you offer?
Generally, no. But I’m willing to consider, depending on my schedule.
Do you ever offer free consultations?
I offer a complimentary 30-minute Discovery Call to discuss projects of potential clients who have completed one of the inquiry questionnaires on the Contact page.
I do not offer free one-hour consultations for potential or past clients. These are stand-alone sessions and are not included in any other service I currently offer.
I do occasionally offer specials for this service.
Do you do pro bono work?
No, I do not.
Do you accept co-writing projects?
Not in the way most people mean, wherein we would both contribute written portions of a book with the agreement that I’ll be compensated from royalties, book sales, and/or movie revenue.
I do, however, accept ghostwriting projects, which I consider to be co-creative, in that we work together closely to create a book we can both be proud of, based on your vision and voice, and my writing. Please see more about ghostwriting here.
Why don’t you offer refunds?
I offer people ample time to make decisions about whether or not they want to invest in services or courses from me.
I also provide as detailed information as possible in the descriptions of my services and products, and about myself. I am happy to answer questions before clients and potential clients decide whether or not to make the financial investment.
I occasionally offer specials for limited periods of time, but I don’t believe in high-pressure or short, time-sensitive marketing campaigns that encourage people to invest due to FOMO.
